Call back
With v2.16.189, now we have 'call back' feature option in the app which was never before, the new feature appears on app screen after a call is declined.
GIF sharing support
Sharing images with friends will always be a fun, but sharing animated GIFs is even better. With WhatsApp update, it's easy to do.
With the latest update, you just have to select a GIF saved on your device and send it to the contact/group with whom you'd like to share it, that's it now shared GIFs appear with full animations.
GIF search
With latest Whatsapp update, You can not only share GIFs but also directly find them as well. Whatsapp has recently started rolling out GIF search support to its beta app on Android.
After this update, you can search for different types of GIFs right within the app itself. The same feature was rolled out to iOS users back in November 2016.
Video calling
If you are looking for an alternative for Skype, WhatsApp is all that you need.
And its very simple, just open up a WhatsApp conversation with the contact you wish to video call, tap on the call icon on the top right corner and then select the Video Call option that's it
Enhance images with doodles and emojis
Inspired from rival Snapchat, WhatsApp now lets you personalize the photos by overlaying emojis or doodling on them before sharing them with friends.
For this, you have to take your picture from the app's built-in camera interface and these new editing tools will appear on the photo for quick customization
Optimized video-calling feature for India
WhatsApp claims that its video-calling feature is optimized for telecom networks in regions like India and if you have a great network condition - a Wi-Fi or 4G - it will be HD quality, and you start moving to conditions which don't have good connectivity, it will be slightly low resolution, but will still work and the quality will go up and down a little depending upon the quality of the network.
Support for 10 Indian languages
If you want to WhatsApp in your own language, then it's good news for you, as soon there will be a translation tool for you so that you can send messages to your loved ones in your preferred language
Share 30 media files at once
With the latest update, you can share up to 30 media files on WhatsApp, which was limited to 10 before
'Send' messages even without the internet
With this latest update, one can send messages to an individual or group even when there is no connectivity and the message will be automatically delivered once you get connectivity back on your smartphone
